Local business woman nominated for National Awards

Sanja  Tesic of Blue Gerbera has been nominated for the 2018 AusMumpreneur Awards.

The AusMumpreneur Awards presented by The AusMumpreneur Network celebrate and recognize Australian Mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation. The awards are designed to recognize the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.

Sanja Tesic is an Author, Inspirational speaker, Career and Mindset coach and mother to twin 2 year old girls, Maja and Sophia.

At age 8, Sanja became a child refugee. Sanja and her family sought refuge in various republics within the former Yugoslavia for five years. At age 13, Sanja immigrated to Australia. Sanja did not speak, write or understand English.

Sanja is a certified linguistics practitioner and has a Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management. In 2014 she founded Blue Gerbera, a coaching business which offers online, one on one coaching and group workshops.

Sanja is a wellness advocate and was recently the guest speaker at the International Women’s Day at Crown Towers in Perth.

In 2017 Sanja’s book “Born To Bloom – From Hardship to Happiness” was published. An inspirational biography. A story of a war refugee who chooses a victor mentality to succeed.

There are many benefits to balancing business and motherhood, flexibility, freedom to create and networking. Sanja loves that she can balance her business life around her family and her creative mind.

Sanja always seizes any opportunity to help put her passion of helping others into practice! BALANCE and HAPPINESS … Mindset is the key.

Writing and publishing her first book to share her story with the world was a dream come true. Now, her story can be heard and she can inspire others to follow their dreams because it really can happen!

In Sanja’s words “You were born to bloom!”

It can be challenging to be a successful business woman whilst raising a family and Sanja gives this advice for others thinking about starting their own enterprise;

  • Find a professional Mentor who has already been there to guide you along the way
  • Ensure you have the mindset of looking at the “glass half full”, to be prepared to be resilient and persistent.
  • Seek advice about finances required.

Multicultural Business Excellence Award FINALIST!!!

I have some exciting news… I am off to Melbourne!

I have been chosen as a Finalist for the ausmumpreneur awards – MULTICULTURAL BUSINESS – EXCELLENCE AWARD.

AusMumpreneur awards are for Mums in business. Women who are creative, resilient and adaptable. The awards are designed to recognize the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.

The process is a 2 day conference and the top 10 finalists are required to be interviewed by a panel of 3 independent judges.

The awards ceremony is held on the Friday evening and is when the winners will be announced. It recognises the best and brightest in the Mumpreneur industry, acknowledging success in business, innovation, creativity and excellence!

I am honored and privileged to be chosen as a finalist. I am living my dream of sharing my story and helping people find their way, showing them “How to Bloom”!

I am so grateful for the opportunities to work in the local community and giving people the tools to change the victim vs victor mindset. For being able to have a positive impact and changing the stigma about refugees, being a role model for multiculturalism.
